I’ve worked in etching, silk screening, stone lithography, and finally monoprints, in which I use a new kind of litho plate made from plastic to create a multiple plate print (one plate for each color) and then do free form monotype on top of that to add some randomness and extra richness to the print.
Here are some of the prints I have created in the last few years. Most have multiple plates, as well as monotype. All are drawn and printed by hand by me. Printmaking, for me, is about process, as well as outcome. There is an accidental element that makes hand pulled prints exciting to create as well as to view.
I like your outstanding prints
I really like your monoprint technique using multiple plates and I would really like to know more about your process.
I am especially intrigued that they were hand pulled.
I will be continuing to post on the progress of this print. I also am thinking of writing a book! There I said it. More coming up shortly. Thanks for reading.
